Of the 35 candidates running for the Sri Lankan presidency, four are Muslims. It is reported by aljazeera.com.
Thirty-five candidates are running for the presidential election next month.
A total of 35 candidates are running for the presidential election in the Indian Ocean. The highest number in previous elections was in 2010, with 22 candidates.
It is also worth noting that the presidential candidate includes two Buddhist monks, four Muslims and two Tamil community members.
