The first group of pilgrims from Tatarstan in 2020 makes the umra in Mecca, according to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan. Believers are accompanied by the kazy of the southeast of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Hazrat Mardanshin and the Imam Khatyb of the Kazan mosque "Dinislam" Insaf Hazrat Ibatullin. Tatarstan pilgrims flew January 4 from Kazan to Istanbul, and from there to Medina. From Medina, believers on buses arrived in Mecca. According to the rules of the Minor pilgrimage, the pilgrims made seven rounds around the Holy Kaaba in the al-Haram mosque, then crossed the path between the mountains of Safa and Marwa. After they make the umra, they continue to recite prayers in the mosque of al-Haram, and also visit memorial sites of Mecca.
The first group to make the umra will return to Kazan on January 16, and the next group will fly to Saudi Arabia on January 26.
