On November 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Islamic Civilization Center of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Uzbek National News Agency.
This institution, founded by our President, will be a holistic complex that reflects the rich history of our people, their contribution to the development of science and education.
- Everybody glorifies their history. But there is nowhere like the rich past of our country, the great thinkers like our forefathers. We must deeply study this legacy and be able to convey it to our people and the world. The visitor to this center should be fully aware of our great heritage and carry a great spirituality, - said Shavkat Mirziyoev during one of his previous visits here.
This is the main criterion for the construction and operation of the center. Three-storey building has been erected on nearly two hectares of land. In the symmetrical center of the building, a beautiful Oriental dome has been erected, and 34-meter canopies have been built on the four sides.
On the ground floor, there will be a museum warehouse, rooms for preservation and restoration of ancient manuscripts and artifacts, publishing house and bookstores.
On the second floor, the huge foyer center will be placed the Uthman Quran. There will also be a Museum of Islamic Art, a conference room for 435 people. The exhibitions will showcase the history of Uzbekistan in different ages, based on sources and artifacts related to each thinker in each century.
On the third floor, there will be a library with an estimated 100,000 manuscripts, an information resource center, scientific chairs and administrative offices.
