The mus'haf belongs to Abdulhamid Qari from Andijan, son of Sulaiman Bazaz. His uncle Abdurrahman Haji had brought it from Hajj. It is now in the Andijan Museum. Abdulhamid, the little boy, loved this book and always carried it with him. He was one of the avid qaris (reciters) and used to recite beautifully. He later nicknamed himself Chulpon, wrote poems and other works. He was one of the true patriot Uzbek sons.

One of the founders of new Uzbek poetry, translator, editor, playwriter Chulpon was born in 1897 in Andijon. He took his first education in old school. Then he studied in Russian-tuzem school. In 1914 he came to Tashkent and began his activity in the newspaper “Sadoi Turkiston”. His compositions were edited also in newspapers and journals in Ufa, Kazan, Bogchasaroy. From 1916 to 1917 he lived in Orenburg and worked as a secretary in one of the administrations of government. Then he returned Tashkent. Till 1920 he served in TurkRosTA. In 1920 he took part in the meeting of Eastern people in Baku.

That year, the invitation made by Fitrat he went to Bukhara and worked there as a chief in the newspaper “Buhoro axbori”.

Having worked about a year he returned Tashkent. He dealt with works connected with literature and culture. From 1924 to 1926 Chulpon lived in Moscow. He was a chief of drama studio there. There began movement against jadids and also against Chulpon. In spite of difficulties, he continued writing many works. At the beginning of 30’s he went to Moscow again and worked as a translator in one of the Central Committee of SSSR. He was the victim of repression by the communists on October 4, 1937, along with his comrades Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdullah Kadiri, and others. He was shot near the "Alvasti" Bridge in Tashkent. Although he was killed on the same date, his talent had previously fallen victim to communist ideology. After all, oppression sacrifices more talent afore the talented.
