Abu Hurairah radiallahu anhu reported:
The Prophet may Allah bless him and grant him peace said, "He will not enter Jannah whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct".
Anyone who does evil to his neighbors and they fear his evil, he will not enter Jannah. From this hadith we learn that it is necessary to improve the relations with neighbors and not to offend them.
Abu Hurayra radiallahu anhu said:
"The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked, 'Messenger of Allah! A certain woman prays in the night, fasts in the day, acts and gives sadaqa, but injures her neighbors with her tongue.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'There is no good in her. She is one of the people of the Fire.' They said, 'Another woman prays the prescribed prayers and gives bits of curd as sadaqa and does not injure anyone.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'She is one of the people of the Garden.'"
This hadith states that it is important to not hurt or not disrespect your neighbors. Neglecting one's neighbors and hurting them will wash away the fasts and nafl prayers and make them invalid.
On the contrary, a person who lives in peace with his neighbors and does not offend them will achieve great happiness and prosperity and will be people of Jannah.
