Allah Almighty says:
'Do they not see how We conduct the water to a dry land, and with it We produce vegetation, from which their livestock eat, and themselves? Do they not see?' (Surah as-Sajdah, 27)/
'Say, “Have you considered? If your water drains away, who will bring you pure running water?”' (Surah al-Mulk, 30).
'Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were one mass, and We tore them apart? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not believe?' (Surah al-Anbiya, 30).
'...and We send down from the sky pure water.' (Surah al-Furqan, 48).
The Earth is a watery place. Yet just how much water exists on, in, and above our planet? About 71 percent of the Earth's surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth's water. Water also exists in the air as water vapor, in rivers and lakes, in icecaps and glaciers, in the ground as soil moisture and in aquifers, and even in you and your dog. Except above Allah Taala commands Muslims to save water because He knows better what is bad and what is good.
