The Quran also commands Muslims not to accept anything without evidence:
And they say, 'None will enter Heaven unless he is a Jew or a Christian.' These are their wishes. Say, 'Produce your proof, if you are truthful.' (Surah al-Baqarah verse 111)
People can not trust something has no evidence and the document. Allah will question those who follow other people's beliefs and shirk:
'Whoever invokes another god besides Allah—he has no proof thereof—his reckoning rests with his Lord. The disbelievers will not succeed' (Surah al-Mu'minun verse 117)
Allah requires proof and evidence that the idolaters do not worship idols. Or, who originates the creation and then repeats it, and who gives you livelihood from the sky and the earth? Is there another god with Allah? Say, 'Produce your evidence, if you are truthful.' (Surah an-Naml verse 64)
It is clear from these verses that everyone should be able to prove his point with evidence. If anyone hears his sentences, they should ask for evidence. If he has no proof, people should not accept.
