Abu Hurayra radiallahu anhu reported:
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked, "Which of you is fasting today?" Abu Bakr said, "I am." He asked, "Which of you has visited a sick person today? "I have," Abu Bakr stated. Then he asked, "Who has attended a funeral today?" "I have," Abu Bakr said. He asked, "Who has fed a poor person today?" Abu Bakr said, "I have."
Abu Huraira radiallahu anhu reported The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said Five prayers and from one Friday prayer to the next Friday prayer is an expiation of the sins committed in between their intervals if major sins are not committed.

Narrated Anas radiallahu anhuWhenever drought threatened them, `Umar bin AlKhattab, used to ask AlAbbas bin Abdul Muttalib to invoke Allah for rain. He used to say, quotO Allah We used to ask our Prophet to invoke You for rain, and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O Allah Bless us with rain.quot And so it would rain.

Narrated Ibn Mas`ud radiallahu anhuAllahaposs Messenger peace be upon him said, quotThe call for prayer Adhan of Bilal should not stop anyone of you from taking his Suhur for he pronounces the Adhan in order that whoever among you is praying the night prayer, may return to eat his Suhur and whoever among you is sleeping, may get up, for it is not yet dawn when it is like this.quot
