The revelation was given to the Prophet may Allah bless him and grant him peace with divine wisdom, according to his circumstances. By the revelation, Allah taught him every day, giving him new education, led right guidance, strengthening his steps and increasing his peace of mind. At the same time, the Quran was revealed to educate the Companions, reform their corrupt habits and respond to their problems.
He would not immediately frighten them with His teachings and rules of sharia. This coordination is evident in the dissociate dispersal of the revelation. The Quran was revealed gradually, during the twenty-three years of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) life, by events, cases, personal and social relationships.
'A Quran which We unfolded gradually, that you may recite to the people over time. And We revealed it in stages.' (Surah al-Isra verse 106)
This ayah refers to the wisdom that the Quran was revealed, not in a complete book, but in pieces. The Quran is a divine program, not only for reading, but for reading and practicing. It is not easy to read and practice the Quran at once. Therefore, it took twenty-three years to gradually bring those people from the shadow of ignorance and bring them to the light of Islam.
'Those who disbelieve say, “Why was the Quran not revealed to him at once?' Thus in order to strengthen your heart thereby, and We revealed it in stages.' (Surah al-Furqan verse 32)
Wisdom of the gradual revelation of the Quran was its virtue.
